Haven't posted in a long time-new additions to the backyard.
Just recently someone told me they saw this blog and they really like it. I had forgotten how long it had been since I had updated it. We have had some changes and not only have ducks, chickens and guinea fowl now, but have added geese and even a pot-bellied pig. Certainly makes life interesting. We did have some issues with hawks. However, since adding the geese and probably even the pig, we have not had any further issues. The geese are great "watch-dogs". My only problem is that they have left no green in the backyard. Something I hope to work on this spring.

Green Egg!
It was so exciting to see a green egg in the nesting box today.

1st dozen chicken eggs sold!
We sold our 1st dozen chickens eggs. So exciting! We were asking $3.00 for the dozen, but the lady we sell our eggs to insisted on giving $3.50/dozen for both the chicken and the duck eggs. No complaints here! The chickens are finally starting to pay for some of their feed.
